Weekly Creative Inspo – 6.21.2019

As another week comes to a close and we all eagerly look towards the weekend, I’ve gathered some things that have inspired and intrigued my curious soul. I hope you can find some inspo as well!

I would always spend way too long at Total Wine & More when I lived in Arizona. Even if I knew exactly what to get, I’d still have to walk around and look at all the amazing wine and beer designs. An old design buddy Steven and I would talk about this all the time why certain beers were better because of the design. I even keep some of my favorite bottles and cans to place above my kitchen.

This takes me back to my childhood! I received something like this when I was a kid and absolutely loved it. Mine was just a story with a few pictures, but this book by Marija Tiurina takes it to a whole new level. Inspired from iSpy and Where’s Waldo? books, you can now look inward and find yourself. Enjoy J

For all who don’t know, I’m a bit obsessed with typography. In college, I was proud of knowing more than half of the fonts that I’d pass in my everyday life. I’d always ask my friends “hey do you know what that font is?” And they’d get visibly annoyed because I did this many times per day. Anyway, here’s some really cool typography that caught my eye, Organic!

This seems to be a trend lately on the internet but I’m okay with it! A series of short videos by MailChimp highlighting individuals in all sorts of professions and how we can apply what they’ve learned to our own lives. Let’s flood the market with “lessons from…” and enjoy the quality before it saturates!

Unlikely Business Lessons – Series

This is the weirdest thing I’ve seen all week…and I love it. This type of pop/abstract marketing can easily go so wrong but when done right, it sure does stand out and leave you curiously thinking about what you just experienced.

This is hard for me. I don’t like taking photos on vaca since I’m always taking photos for my job. Plus I want to experience the trip not behind a screen. This bit of advice may help those in the same boat!
