Weekly Creative Inspo – 8.02.2019

Happy

As another week comes to a close and we all eagerly look towards the weekend, I’ve gathered some things that have inspired and intrigued my curious soul. I hope you can find some inspo as well!

MostDefiningArtworks-ContemporaryAge.
The NY Times gathered a group of artists and curators to determine what they thought were the 25 most influential and defining pieces of artwork in our modern era. A very interesting read!

Scott Biersack is a phoenix local whom I’ve had the pleasure to meet and hear speak a couple times. His typography and design has always been an inspo of mine and I’ve got his stickers on my mini fridge. Time to collect his digital ones too! Give him a follow and some love on his Instagram.

BeMoreProductiveByWorkingLess.
Mark Manson, the author of The Sublte Art of not Giving a F*ck, talks about knowing yourself and your work habits, and how to optimize your work by, well, doing less. I feel like this article could be titled, How to Give the Right F*cks.

AskReddit:BingeWorthyAlbums.
Reddit and I have been going steady for about 6 years now and it always brings me pleasant surprises. Since it seems most of the bonus inspo this week is music related, here’s an Ask Reddit thread on some of the best albums to listen to all the way through. Are any of your favs on there? (ps. Sort the comments by Top to see the most upvoted albums)

TheMoonsMilk.
Despite my distaste for my college animation courses (is flash still even a thing?) I still appreciate the art form immensely. Check out this stop-motion!

WePresent:BonIver.
A cool BTS on Bon Iver, the journey, and just the explosion of Creativity coming from this team! I like the rose inside of a dirty bong.

TinyDeskConcert-Lizzo.
NPR must be a blast to work at. I think they bring new artists every other week and the employees get to enjoy an intimate concert with these incredible people! Lizzo’s popped into my feed by some other creatives and they weren’t wrong, she absolutely slayed.
